What Replaces a Lippert 17410 4-Point Leveling Controller?

The situation

A customer's Lippert 17410 Ground Control module was throwing an LJ error code on power-up on a 4-point electric jack system. Retracting all four jacks used to clear the code. Now the rear jacks still run up and down, but the front pair won't move at all. He wanted to know which controller replaces the 17410.

The short answer

The Lippert 803280 control module is the replacement for the 17410 4-point controller. On a standard setup that is the only part you need. If you have the full OneControl system with a touchscreen, you also need to move up to the current screen — the 2022004552 7" OneControl touch panel.

Why

Lippert has revised the 4-point leveling control module repeatedly, and the 803280 is where that line currently sits. It's the Ground Control 3.0 module, it supersedes both 694656 and 304136, and it takes the place of module 358590. It mounts in an under-coach compartment and connects to the 12V battery through the wiring harness, same as the unit coming out.

The one compatibility catch is the display:

• Keypad or touchpad control — the 803280 drops in with no other parts.
• Full OneControl system with a touchscreen — an older screen won't run the current module. Plan on the 2022004552 panel alongside it. That screen also carries the part numbers 2022004534, 28639, 28637, and 406347 — all the same unit, firmware version 5, and it ships with the bezel and screws.

The symptom pattern is worth reading before you spend the money. Rear jacks that still run up and down mean the motors, harness, and 12V feed on that side are healthy. A dead front pair plus a code that returns every power-up points at the controller rather than the jacks. And a clear-the-code trick that used to work and no longer does is the module failing to hold its state — consistent with replacing it.

What to do

1. Identify your control first. Look at what you actually operate the jacks from — a keypad/touchpad, or a full OneControl touchscreen. That single answer decides whether this is a one-part or a two-part job.
2. Check the front jack connections at the module before ordering. A loose or corroded connector on the front-jack outputs produces the same "rears fine, fronts dead" pattern for a lot less money. Worth five minutes.
3. Order the 803280. Genuine Lippert OEM, made in the USA, 1-year warranty.
4. Add the 2022004552 touch panel only if you have the touchscreen system. These are hard to source and sell out.
5. Have a qualified RV technician do the install and run a full auto-level sequence afterward to verify all four jacks respond correctly before you rely on it.
