This 12V DC control box is engineered specifically for Coleman Mach HP2 Heat Pumps and Mach 8 air conditioners with heat strip — operating compressor, high fan, low fan, and heat relays via low-voltage thermostat control to deliver both cooling and heat pump heating from a single wall thermostat.

Wired for Full Heat Pump Function

Unlike basic cool-only control boxes, the 9530A751 is wired for full heat pump operation:

• Compressor relay — drives the heat pump compressor for both cooling and heating modes
• High fan relay — high-speed airflow operation
• Low fan relay — low-speed airflow operation
• Heat relay — controls heat strip when installed

The result: full year-round climate control through a single wall thermostat — cooling in summer, heat pump heating in moderate cold weather, and electric heat strip backup when temperatures drop below heat pump efficiency thresholds.

Electric Heat Strip Ready

The 9530A751 supports an optional electric backup heat strip (sold separately) for supplemental heating when heat pump efficiency drops in colder temperatures. Compatible heat strip part numbers:

• Coleman Mach 4700 Series: Heat strip #47233-4551 (sold separately)
• Coleman Mach 48000 / 49000 Series: Heat strip #9233-4551 (sold separately)

⚠️ Compatibility — HP2 Heat Pumps and Mach 8 Only

This control box is engineered specifically for:

• Coleman Mach HP2 Heat Pumps
• Coleman Mach 8 air conditioners with heat strip

It is NOT compatible with cool-only AC units or non-Coleman Mach brands. Verify your AC type before ordering — using the wrong control box for your AC type will result in incompatible operation.

⚠️ One Control Box Required Per Rooftop Unit

Each rooftop heat pump or air conditioner requires its own dedicated control box. If your RV has multiple units, you need one 9530A751 per heat pump or Mach 8 unit.

⚠️ Not for Zone Control Installations

The 9530A751 is not a zone control box. For zone-controlled heat pump installations (multi-zone systems with separate temperature control areas), the 9630A751 zone control heat pump box is required instead — same heat pump function, but engineered for zone control wiring.

⚠️ External 12 VDC Required for Thermostat

The 9530A751 control box does not supply 12 VDC power to the wall thermostat. This voltage must be provided externally by the RV's 12V system. Ensure your installation provides a proper 12 VDC feed to the thermostat circuit before completing wiring. Consult the installation instructions for correct wiring diagram and terminal designations.

Required Wall Thermostat — Sold Separately

The 9530A751 requires a compatible wall thermostat to operate. The matching Coleman Mach wall thermostat is the Coleman 9420A382 Digital Wall Thermostat — single-stage heat/cool control with digital LCD readout and high/low fan speeds. The 9420A382 replaces the older 8530A3451 thermostat (no longer in production) as the current required thermostat for this control box.

Other Coleman Mach Control Boxes — Pick by AC Type

The 9530A751 is the heat pump control box for HP2 and Mach 8 systems. If your installation uses a different AC type, the matching control box is different:

• Coleman 8330-752 Cool-Only Control Package — for cool-only AC installations with no heating capability
• Coleman 9330C755 Heat-Ready Control Box — for cool-only AC with electric heat strip support

Low Voltage Terminal Functions

The 9530A751 uses the following low-voltage terminal designations on the control box strip:

• B (Blue): Completes –12 VDC circuit for all relays
• Y (Yellow): Energizes compressor relay coil
• GH (Green): Energizes high fan relay coil
• GL (Gray): Energizes low fan relay coil
• W (White): Energizes heat relay coil
• FREEZE: Evaporator freeze sensor connection

Evaporator Freeze Sensor Included

The 9530A751 includes an evaporator freeze sensor (shipped separately in an envelope for field installation at the evaporator coil). The freeze sensor monitors evaporator temperature to prevent ice buildup during extended low-load cooling operation.
