Restore and protect your EPDM or PVC RV roof with the Dicor 2-Part Acrylic Roof Coating Bundle — combining the RP-CRP-Q Roof Cleaner/Activator (1 qt) and RP-CRC-1 Acrylic Roof Coating (1 gallon, white) in a single bundle. This commercial-grade two-part roofing system chemically prepares your roof surface and then applies an elastomeric protective coating — extending the life of your rubber roof and enhancing its weather and UV resistance.

What This Bundle Does

EPDM and PVC RV roofs need periodic recoating — typically every 5 years, more often in harsh climates — to maintain weather protection and prevent the underlying membrane from degrading. This bundle gives you both products needed for the job:

  • Step 1 — Cleaner/Activator (RP-CRP-Q): Chemically cleans and prepares the roof surface for maximum coating adhesion
  • Step 2 — Acrylic Coating (RP-CRC-1): Applies the protective elastomeric layer over the prepared surface

Using both products in sequence is the proper Dicor recommended procedure — the cleaner/activator isn't optional, it's a required first step for the acrylic coating to bond correctly.

⚠️ Compatibility — For EPDM and PVC ONLY

This bundle is specifically formulated for EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) roof membranes only. If your roof is fiberglass, you need the Dicor Fiberglass RV Roof Coating (RP-FRC-1) instead — a different acrylic formula designed specifically for fiberglass surfaces. Using the wrong coating on your roof type will cause adhesion failure.

RP-CRP-Q Cleaner/Activator (1 qt)

The Cleaner/Activator is a ready-to-use solution that chemically prepares your roof surface for coating. It removes dirt, dust, and contaminants while activating the membrane surface to ensure maximum adhesion of the acrylic coating.

How to Apply:

  1. Remove debris from the roof using a broom or blower
  2. Apply with a Hudson-type agricultural sprayer set to produce a fine mist that leaves the surface damp
  3. Apply evenly at 125 sq ft per quart — avoid over-application that causes runoff
  4. Let react for at least 15 minutes
  5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water (pressure washer recommended) — must remove all traces before coating

RP-CRC-1 Acrylic Roof Coating (1 gallon, white)

The acrylic coating is the protective layer that goes on after the surface is prepped. Its elastomeric properties let it flex with the roof through thermal expansion and contraction — preventing the cracks and leaks that develop when rigid coatings fail. The white color reflects UV rays to help keep interior temperatures cooler on hot days.

Two-Coat Application Required:

  • 1 gallon covers approximately 125 sq ft per coat
  • 2 gallons cover approximately 62.5 sq ft for both coats
  • 24-hour drying time between coats

Coverage example: An 8' × 30' RV roof = 240 sq ft, which requires ~4 gallons total (2 gallons per coat × 2 coats). This bundle includes 1 gallon — for most full RV roofs you'll need to order additional gallons of RP-CRC-1 separately to complete the job.

When (and How Often) to Recoat

Dicor recommends recoating your EPDM or PVC RV roof every 5 years under normal conditions — more frequently in regions with extreme weather (intense sun, heavy rain, freeze/thaw cycles). Regular recoating maintains the protective barrier and prevents the underlying rubber membrane from degrading prematurely.

Benefits of a Properly Coated RV Roof

  • Extends roof life by protecting the underlying membrane from UV degradation
  • Reflects heat with the white finish, reducing interior temperatures
  • Prevents cracks and leaks via elastomeric flex with roof movement
  • Improves appearance — fresh white coating dramatically improves an aged roof's look
  • Lower-cost than re-roofing — coating maintenance is dramatically cheaper than full membrane replacement
