EQ Systems DV1 Directional Valve #1717 | Common Retract Circuit | Red 3-Row Knob

Replace the DV1 directional valve on your EQ Systems hydraulic pump manifold with the EQ Systems DV1 Directional Valve (Part 1717). DV1 controls the common retract circuit — the circuit that holds the leveling jacks stowed and the slide-out rooms closed. Also supplied inside the 2542KS pump assembly. Available at The RV Surplus.

⭐ Identify Your Valve FIRST

Look at the valve on the pump manifold:

• ✅ Red knob with THREE rows of holes = 1717 DV1 → this valve is a direct replacement (order with coil 1746)
• ⚠️ Red knob with ONE row of holes = 1745 DV2 → needs Valve and Coil Kit #7827
• ⚠️ 1716 or 1131 cartridge = older style → also needs Valve and Coil Kit #7827

The valve and coil are replaced as a pair. Order the coil (1746) with this valve.

⭐ Manual Override

The valve carries a red knurled knob. Pull the knob out and turn a quarter turn — it stays in the open position, which allows the system to be moved by hand or a hose routing test to be run. Shift with fingers only, no tools. When finished, rotate the knob until it snaps back to the normal position.

⚠️ Leaving DV1 open lets jacks and slide-out rooms drift down from the stowed position.
