Restore reliable operation to your slide-out or tilting bed with the Lippert 325979 High-Torque 500:1 In-Wall Motor (Without Socket Screw). This is the genuine Lippert OEM replacement motor assembly built on the IG-42 platform that powers two distinct systems: the Electric In-Wall® (Schwintek) slide-out system and the Schwintek Bed Tilt System. 12V DC, pre-assembled, and backed by a 1-year warranty.

High-Torque 500:1 — Power for Demanding Applications

The 325979's 500:1 gear ratio delivers substantially more torque than the standard 300:1 motor (236575), making it the right choice for large, heavy, or heavily loaded slide-out rooms — and for the power needed to raise and lower a motorized tilting bed. The higher gear reduction means the motor runs more slowly but with greater mechanical advantage, so it's the correct pick wherever a 300:1 motor proves insufficient, or where your system was originally equipped with a 500:1 unit. If you're still diagnosing the issue, our guide to fixing an RV slide-out that moves slowly or gets stuck can help you confirm the motor is the cause before you order.

⚠️ "Without Socket Screw" — Verify Before Ordering

This is the "without socket screw" variant, and that's not a minor detail — it's a specific configuration. Some In-Wall® motor installations use a socket head cap screw (set screw) to secure the motor in the wall channel; others, including those the 325979 is built for, do not. Installing the wrong configuration can prevent the motor from seating properly. Before ordering, check your existing motor: if a set screw is present in the housing or wall channel mount, you need a different variant (such as the 287298). If no set screw is used, the 325979 is correct.

⚠️ Match the Gear Ratio — Don't Mix 500:1 and 300:1

Do not substitute a 300:1 motor for a 500:1 system or vice versa. The controller tracks motor revolutions for synchronization, so mismatched ratios between the two motors on the same slide will cause tracking errors. Both motors in a slide-out pair must share the same gear ratio.

Dual-System Use

The same physical IG-42 motor serves two applications:

  • Electric In-Wall® (Schwintek) Slide-Out: Two motors mount in the upper corners of the slide wall (one per side), each driving a gear rack that extends and retracts the room. After any motor replacement, the controller must be resynchronized per Lippert document TI-177.
  • Schwintek Bed Tilt System: A single motor drives the mechanism that raises and lowers the tilting bed platform. If the bed stops mid-travel, try the controller's configuration button reset before assuming motor failure.

How to Confirm the Right Motor

The motor label (the RPO sticker on the In-Wall® wall frame, or on the motor housing itself) specifies the gear ratio. Use Lippert document QR-144 to identify the correct part, or contact Lippert with your RV VIN if you can't access the label.
