⚠️ Single-Switch Models — Check Your Unit

⚠️ Before Calling It a Switch Failure

If your water heater won't turn on, work through the basics before assuming the switch:

• Confirm 12V DC at the switch with a multimeter — if there's no voltage at the switch, the fault is upstream (fuse, breaker, battery)
• Check the water heater's own thermostat reset — a tripped high-limit will stop the unit from firing even with a working switch
• Verify the DSI board clicks when you flip the switch on (gas side) — if it does but won't light, the problem is at the heater, not the switch
