What This Assembly Does

The torsion arm assembly is the internal spring mechanism that lives inside your awning roller tube. It provides tension that automatically retracts the awning fabric when you release it — winding the awning back into the travel position without motor assistance.

Without a functioning torsion arm, symptoms include:
