"Heat Ready" means the 9430-725 contains the wiring, control board, and switching circuitry needed to operate an electric resistance heat strip — the type of supplemental heating that installs into a cool-only rooftop AC unit. The practical advantage: if you have a cool-only rooftop unit today and decide later to add an electric heat strip for shoulder-season comfort, the 9430-725 is already fully prepared. No ceiling assembly replacement needed when you add the heat strip — it connects directly and the control circuitry activates it seamlessly.

The heat strip itself is sold separately and is not included in this kit. Compatible heat strips are available for most Coleman Mach 47xxx and 48xxx series cool-only rooftop units.

⚠️ Compatibility — NOT for Heat Pump Units

The 9430-725 is designed for cool-only rooftop air conditioner units — with or without an electric resistance heat strip. It is NOT compatible with heat pump rooftop units.

Heat pump units require a different control board and reversing valve wiring. If your rooftop unit is a heat pump model, the 9630-725 Heat Pump ceiling assembly is the correct assembly for your system instead.
