Specifically Formulated for EPDM and TPO on Wood Decking

The 901BA-1 is engineered for the two most common RV roofing membrane types over wood roof decking:

• EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer / rubber)
• TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

The water-based acrylic formula is engineered for porous/moisture-absorbent substrates — primarily wood roof decking, which is the standard substrate in nearly all RV roof construction.

One of the standout reasons to use Dicor's own adhesive: using this adhesive as part of the Dicor roofing system qualifies aftermarket EPDM/TPO installations for Dicor's 12-year warranty. Excellent Coverage — 160–180 sq ft per Gallon

Apply with a 9" wide short-nap roller at the coverage rate of 160–180 sq ft per gallon. To estimate how many gallons you need:

• Measure your roof area (length × width in feet)
• Divide by 170 (mid-point of the coverage range) for a conservative gallons estimate

Example: a 30' × 8' roof = 240 sq ft, which needs ~1.5 gallons of adhesive. Order 2 gallons to have a margin for thorough coverage and to handle harder-to-reach areas.

⚠️ Substrate Limitations — Porous/Wood Only

The 901BA-1 is formulated for porous/moisture-absorbent substrates only. It is NOT intended for:

• Rubber-to-rubber seaming
• Adhering rubber to metal surfaces
• Adhering rubber to fiberglass surfaces
• Adhering rubber to plastic surfaces

For non-porous surfaces or specialty applications, contact Dicor directly for the right adhesive recommendation.

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation:

1. Ensure all surfaces are clean and completely dry — required for optimum bond strength

2. Stir adhesive thoroughly before use; keep container covered when not in use
3. Apply adhesive evenly to the substrate using a 9" short-nap roller at 160–180 sq ft per gallon
4. Roll the EPDM or TPO membrane onto the adhesive immediately — no waiting time required
5. Minimize air pockets trapped between substrate and membrane during placement

Bonding:

6. Mate surfaces with only enough pressure — evenly applied — to ensure good contact. Excessive pressure can redistribute adhesive unevenly.
7. Use a push broom or squeegee to remove any air pockets and ensure full membrane contact

⚠️ Storage & Handling

• Keep from freezing — freezing will permanently damage the adhesive
• Store at 50°F–60°F for maximum storage life
• Do not store below 40°F
• When containers are "empty," residual vapor and product may remain. Do not reuse empty containers or remove labels. Dispose of in accordance with applicable regulations.

For Larger Jobs

This listing is the 1-gallon size. Dicor also offers the same adhesive as the 917BA in a 5-gallon pail for larger jobs and commercial installations — though we don't currently stock the 5-gallon size. For most RV re-roof jobs, the 1-gallon can sized at 160–180 sq ft coverage is appropriate; buy 2-3 gallons for a typical full RV roof.

Have a Fiberglass Roof?

The 901BA-1 is NOT for fiberglass roof surfaces. If you have a fiberglass RV roof, the Dicor Fiberglass RV Roof Coating (RP-FRC-1) is a different product designed for that surface type.
