INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROOF CLEANER:
Dicor RP-CRP-Q RV Roof Cleaner/Activator for EPDM Rubber & PVC Membranes - 1 qt
Dicor’s EPDM Roof Cleaner/Activator is the essential first step in a two-part coating system designed to extend the life and improve the performance of EPDM rubber roofs. This ready-to-use solution effectively cleans and chemically prepares the roof surface, ensuring maximum adhesion for Dicor’s EPDM Roof Acrylic Coating. By removing dirt, dust, and other contaminants, the Cleaner/Activator helps create an ideal surface for the subsequent application of the acrylic coating, which ultimately enhances the durability and longevity of your RV’s roof.Compatible with EPDM and PVC Roof Membranes
This Acrylic Roof Coating is specifically formulated for compatibility with EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) roof membranes. These materials are commonly used in RV roofing due to their durability and flexibility. The coating adheres exceptionally well to these surfaces when used in conjunction with the recommended cleaner/activator, ensuring a seamless and long-lasting protective layer. This compatibility makes the coating an ideal choice for those looking to enhance and extend the life of their EPDM or PVC roof membranes.Installation and Coverage
Applying the Cleaner/Activator is a straightforward process, begin by removing any large debris from the roof, such as leaves or branches, using a broom or blower. The Cleaner/Activator can then be applied using a Hudson-type agricultural sprayer, which should be adjusted to produce a fine mist that leaves the roof surface damp. It is important to apply the solution evenly, at a rate of 125 square feet per quart, and to avoid over-application, which can cause runoff. After allowing the solution to react with the roof surface for at least 15 minutes, thoroughly rinse the roof with clean water, preferably using a pressure washer. This rinsing step is crucial to remove all traces of the Cleaner/Activator, leaving the roof ready for the acrylic coating.Additional Info

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACRYLIC COATING:
Benefits of Roof Coating
Applying a Roof Coating offers several key benefits, including the preservation and enhancement of the roof’s durability and appearance. The coating's elastomeric nature allows it to flex with the roof, preventing cracks and leaks that can result from the natural expansion and contraction of the roof material. Regular recoating is recommended to maintain these protective qualities; typically, an RV roof should be recoated every five years, or more frequently in regions with extreme weather conditions. This maintenance ensures that the protective barrier remains intact, safeguarding your investment in your RV.Compatible with EPDM and PVC Roof Membranes

Proper installation of the Acrylic Coating requires the use of the RP-CRP-Q Activator to prepare the roof surface for optimal adhesion. Once the roof is properly prepped, the coating should be applied in two coats for maximum protection. Each coat covers approximately 125 square feet per gallon, meaning an 8' x 30' roof would require 4 gallons total—2 gallons for each coat. This two-coat application ensures that your RV roof is fully protected, providing long-lasting durability and resistance to the elements.Additional Info
