EQ Systems El Pac Switchgear #7817 | Complete Assembly with Breaker Cable | El Pac 1 & 2

Replace the complete switchgear on your El Pac 1 or El Pac 2 electric jack system (the electric add-on that motorizes an existing manual trailer jack) with the EQ Systems El Pac Switchgear (Part 7817). Current replacement — ships complete with breaker supply cable. Available at The RV Surplus.

⭐ What This Switchgear Does

Carries the rotary switch and the heavy cabling. Two white #6 AWG wires run from the switchgear to the El Pac gearbox motor, landing on the A2+ and A1- posts. Red and black #6 AWG wires run to the battery through the breaker assembly.

⭐ Reversed Operation? Check the Motor Wires

If the switch appears to operate backwards, the two white wires at the motor are reversed — this depends on which side of the jack leg the El Pac is mounted. Simple swap fixes it.

⭐ Power Circuit

El Pac systems use an 80 ampere auto-reset breaker assembly (two 40 amp breakers in parallel), mounted at the battery box. Do NOT install other fuses or circuit breakers on this circuit. If the battery is beyond the front bulkhead of the trailer, #4 AWG wire may be needed to carry the current.

Mount the box where it gets some protection from the elements. Weather resistant, not weatherproof.
