Replace or upgrade your rooftop A/C with the Furrion Chill Cube 15K Low-Profile Variable-Speed Ducted RV Air Conditioner with Heat Pump (Part 2025059445, White) — a 15,000 BTU ducted unit with variable-speed compressor and integrated heat pump that keeps your coach comfortable in extreme heat AND takes the chill off cool mornings. Available at The RV Surplus with FREE SHIPPING.

⚠️ Ceiling Assembly Sold Separately

A compatible ceiling assembly is REQUIRED for installation and is sold separately. The specific ceiling assembly you need depends on whether your coach is ducted or non-ducted, and the control configuration you want. Confirm the correct matching ceiling assembly for your coach before installing.

⭐ Variable-Speed Compressor — Not a Traditional RV A/C

Traditional RV A/Cs run full-blast or off. The Chill Cube's variable-speed compressor technology works differently:

  • Adjusts output in real time based on actual cooling demand
  • Eliminates harsh start-and-stop cycles — no slamming compressor every few minutes
  • Smoother, more consistent temperatures — no 5°F swings as the unit cycles
  • Quieter operation — running at lower speed most of the time
  • Lower power consumption — only draws the current the current load actually needs

⭐ Integrated Heat Pump — Year-Round Comfort

Beyond cooling, the Chill Cube's integrated heat pump provides efficient electric heating in cooler weather:

  • Takes the chill off cool mornings and evenings without firing your propane furnace
  • Uses the same unit as cooling — no separate heating system to install
  • Electric heat runs on 120V AC shore power or generator

⚠️ Heat pumps lose efficiency at very low outside temperatures. In genuinely cold weather, you'll still want your propane furnace running as primary heat, especially to protect holding tanks and plumbing from freezing.

⭐ Built for Extreme Heat

The Chill Cube is engineered to maintain consistent interior comfort when outside temperatures exceed 100°F, without the freeze-up issues that plague traditional RV A/Cs when they're pushed hard in extreme heat.

⭐ Ducted Design — Even Airflow Throughout the Coach

Works with your RV's existing ductwork to distribute air evenly through every room. If your coach has a ducted ceiling with multiple air registers, this is the matching A/C configuration. Non-ducted coaches need a different ceiling assembly (and a non-ducted setup is typically a different A/C model).

⭐ R32 Refrigerant — Modern & Lower Impact

Uses R32 refrigerant — delivers strong thermal performance with a lower global warming potential than older R410A systems. R32 is the direction the industry is moving.

⭐ Fitment — Standard 14" × 14" Opening

  • Fits any standard 14" × 14" roof opening — direct replacement for most existing rooftop A/Cs
  • Low-profile design reduces wind drag and overall coach height
  • Pre-installed roof compression gasket on the base of the unit — no additional sealant or roof gasket required for the rooftop portion

⚠️ Electrical Requirements

  • 120V AC power required
  • At 15,000 BTU + heat pump load, confirm your coach's electrical service and generator (if applicable) can handle the startup and running draw
  • Variable-speed operation generally results in lower peak current than old-style compressor A/Cs, but startup draw still needs headroom

⭐ Installation Overview

  1. Shut off 120V AC power at the breaker and disconnect from the battery
  2. Remove the old rooftop A/C
  3. Confirm the 14" × 14" roof opening is clean, dry, and square
  4. Set the Chill Cube on the opening — the pre-installed compression gasket seals against the roof
  5. Install the compatible ceiling assembly from below (sold separately)
  6. Make electrical connections per Furrion's install guide
  7. Torque mounting bolts to spec (do NOT overtighten — compression gasket does the sealing)
  8. Restore power and verify cooling + heat pump operation

Working on an RV roof requires appropriate ladder/fall safety and comfort around 120V electrical. If you're not experienced with rooftop A/C swaps, have a qualified RV technician handle it.

⚠️ Before Calling It an A/C Fault

If a new install isn't cooling as expected:

  • Give it 20-30 minutes to reach steady-state on initial power-up
  • Confirm 120V AC at the unit under load — not just no-load
  • Check that the ceiling assembly is correctly matched and installed — a mismatched ceiling assembly won't move air properly
  • Verify thermostat and control connections at the ceiling assembly
  • Clean/check return air filter for airflow restriction
