Protect and beautify your fiberglass RV roof with the Dicor Fiberglass RV Roof Coating (Part #RP-FRC-1, 1 Gallon, Arctic White). Formulated with 100% acrylic fiberglass resins, this brilliant white coating forms a flexible protective layer that expands and contracts with your roof — restoring weather protection, reflecting heat to keep your interior cooler, and extending the life of fiberglass and previously-coated roofs.

⚠️ Important: For FIBERGLASS Roofs Only

This coating is NOT recommended for EPDM rubber or TPO roofing. Using this product on EPDM or TPO will cause poor adhesion and coating failure. If your roof is EPDM or TPO, you need a coating specifically formulated for those membrane types — not this product. Confirm your roof type before purchasing.

Have an EPDM or PVC Roof Instead?

If your RV roof is EPDM rubber or PVC (not fiberglass), the right coating product is the Dicor EPDM/PVC Roof Coating Bundle — a 2-part system that combines the required cleaner/activator and acrylic elastomeric coating formulated specifically for EPDM and PVC membranes.

100% Acrylic Fiberglass Resins

The RP-FRC-1 uses a 100% acrylic fiberglass resin formula that bonds properly to fiberglass and previously-coated roofs. The flexible coating expands and contracts with normal roof movement from temperature swings, vibration, and structural flex — so it stays intact rather than cracking and peeling like rigid coatings.

Super Bright White — Reflects Heat for Cooler Interiors

The brilliant Arctic White finish isn't just cosmetic — it's a meaningful comfort and energy upgrade:

  • Superior reflectivity bounces UV rays and heat away from the roof
  • Helps keep interior cooler on hot days
  • Less AC runtime needed to maintain comfortable temperatures inside

For boondocking and dry camping where AC capacity is precious, a properly reflective roof coating can meaningfully reduce the cooling load.

Mildew and Algae Resistant

Once dry, the coating's film resists mildew and algae growth — keeping your roof looking clean and bright over the years rather than streaking or developing the dark stains that plague untreated fiberglass roofs in humid climates.

What Fiberglass Roof Coating Does for Your RV

Re-coating a fiberglass RV roof every few years is one of the highest-value maintenance investments you can make:

Coverage Per Gallon

One gallon of RP-FRC-1 covers approximately 100–150 square feet per coat. To estimate how many gallons you'll need:

  • Measure your roof area (length × width in feet)
  • Divide by 100 for a conservative gallons-per-coat estimate
  • Plan for two coats in most cases for proper coverage and durability

Example: a 30' × 8' roof = 240 sq ft, which needs roughly 2.5 gallons per coat, or 5 gallons total for two coats.

  • Restores weather protection as the original gelcoat degrades from UV exposure
  • Seals minor surface damage before water can get underneath
  • Improves reflectivity that fades on aged roofs
  • Extends roof life dramatically vs leaving the original gelcoat to continue degrading
  • Improves appearance — brightens dull, oxidized fiberglass
